7610 SMS Alert Problem

hi all,

its juz been a week i've had my 7610 but i have this problem already. Just yesterday, everytime i receive an sms, the message alert tone i selected doesnt alert (or play sound) at all. This happens in all profiles by the way, even in the new profile i've created. I have checked the wav file in My Gallery and its working listening from there. PLs advise on what shoud i do. Thanks!

and by the way, when im receiving a call, my ringing tone plays well... its really just my sms alert.

yep.. i have this prob too.. but u jez have to restart ur phone and everything's back to normal..i hope nokia would solve this prob in the next firmware

i have experienced this too, but only in .wav files. try using .mp3

happened also to my friend's 7610... he had the phone flashed with the SAME firmware, and it solved it. (apparently, the frmware it had had trouble with reading some sound files, go figure.) :confused:

go to the settings > phone > general > orig. phone settings > and type the 12345
then your phone restarts and the problems resolve.
