Hi, I am from Malaysia too.
The price for Sharp GX27 is about RM1500+ (it was close to RM1,900) when it was first launched by Maxis
However, many retailers who carry this models complained that most of the products that were shipped to Malaysia has some form of bug. 7 out of 10 people return this to the shop after 1 week of usage for some kind of defect in their software.
You have to be very carefull of the phone. Perhaps is the firmware problem. Please check it with authorised dealer for this Sharp model

Hi Johnson TYS,
Thanks for your information though. Anyway, the price is still very expensive at about RM 1500++ though, i was from Singapore. This Sharp phone was not sold here, i do not know why.
But from the User Menu which i downloaded from the Internet, the User-Interface was about the same as Nokia mobile phones. It was a very friendly phone , which the menu structure was very similar to Nokia phones
I think i have to write to Sharp Singapore, i hereby provide you the contacts

As i remember, when first Maxis release GX27 at 2004 or 2005? Around RM1.6k? Not very sure, i get 1 from my UK or australia's friend, it is by Vodafone. I don't really like this phone, it is lack of functions. I saw some websites shows that there is Bluetooth functions, record sounds can make as ringtones and others, but i tried, i can't find bluetooth, recorded sounds can't make as ringtones. But the camera is really good, very clear.
