i can confirm the v600 has been cancelled on Orange, the v500 will be the only moto phone except for the smartphone...
Michael experiences these problems too - I really want the V600 and if it's going to be buggy as hell I'd rather know about it before buying it
It's either that or the z600 or failing that possibly the O2 X1, but I really want bluetooth, so my choices are limited.

Panasonic X70 might be worthy, too, if you don't mind the lack of Java support.
Should have one of those this coming week, too.
Java doesn't especially bother me - my v200 doesn't have it at the moment so I've learned to live without it, although a break from MyPet and ErixClone (forgotten it's name) would be nice :D
I get the chance to upgrade on November 17 so I've got a fortnight left to decide.
Oooh, decisions decisions...

Rather think about Nokia 6230 ;)
[COLOR=darkblue]Rather think about Nokia 6230. Seems it has almost all needed. I'm gonna wait for it, the hell with V600:o
I used to have candybar style phones and was fine with it but to be honest I've lost faith in them since I got my v200 flip.
With a flip phone there's a lot more room for a big screen and well laid out keypad (copyright Michael in his z600 review!) as well sa some nice features whereas the Nokia is a candybar phone and the screen seems to be a little smaller.
Plus I'm not a fan of Nokias so much - it's an irrational thing to be true but I'd rather have a different one.
The v600 has everything I want - I'd live without Bluetooth but with the change in UK laws I think it's time to dig out my trusty HBH-15 and head back to boom-ville.

It seems I have completely different experience: for the first I had a big variety od flip phone, from Motorola Star Tac 80, 130, v3688, v3690, V50, V51 to T720, Samsung T100, N100. A had also candybar phones at least as double as clamshell list and honestly I prefer flip phones (understandable reasons).
But, Motorola had always late with fancy features or at least had lower quality features comparable with Samsung or Nokia. Do you Jalu remember Moto T720 screen with 4096 colours and Nokia 7210 screen? Uncomparable! Even worse if we try to put in calculation Samsung T100! Do you remember how slow is sms on T720? Slow software? I write 350-500 sms/monthly and it is very important to me how speed software is. I was also waiting V600 since last week- I found 6230 and all that features! Radio is gonna wake me up in the morning!!!!
Wish you the best with switching from Samsung screen to Motorola!
No doubt I will test v600 so we could exchange experience in future.:o

Indeed this is true - I was really hoping that with the new V series phones they appear to be catching up - what with Bluetooth and Java as well as quite a large memory for it's class.

Oh God, the T720 :-/ I work for tech support at a phone company and the amount of people who call in about that phone - it's the most godawful bit of technology ever invented. Not to mention that stupid L shaped camera accessory - what were they thinking?
I've always been a fan of the early V series (v60, v66 etc) as I think they really do have a style of their own - the v600 should hopefully have that style. Lets just hope that the menu system isn't as bad as the t720. I've never actually had one so I don't know the speeds of it though but I've heard bad things about the t720.

Radio isn't all that much of a thing for me - if I'm honest with myself I don't really walk massive distances; it's the main reason I haven't bothered getting an MP3 CD walkman thing or anything.
Wish you the best with switching from Samsung screen to Motorola!
On stats at least the screen is the same or better - same colours but bigger screen. Hopefully Michael will give us the gospel on that and we can take it from there...

The stats is the main reason I mentioned 4096 screen on T720 and 7210. I was also dissapointed with 7210 screen, but T720 had a even worst.
As one hour/day walker I really miss radio- that is the reason I had 7210 so long (almost 10month). Finally, I bought a real mini-radio.
T720 had a strange speed problems: when I typing sms and pass cca into second half of the first message, machine started to be horrible slow: (I am really high speed sms writter). What was happened? I finnished typing, and T720 spent some time to finnish a job (it took almost cca 10 sec or more). I had to switch off button sound- that was the only way my concentration could last till the end of my typing. You work for phone company, is that problem with some kind of RAM memory, if GSM has something like that? I tested two T720, the same problem.
I would love to believe Moto can made a better screen than Samsung, but I am 100% sure that is not gonna happen'.
But, at last, screen is not a main reason for buying a phone, isn't it?
One thing I adore at Nokia: Timed Profiles. I had 2 X meeting every day. Don't have to bother with turning back spunds to Hospital (descent) Profile after it.

Motorola V600:
If you are in Australia, it won't be out until next year Jan or Feb.
Normally, you could be able to get it in advance in South East Asia especially in HK.
