ARGH, my head is about to explode, my damn 6230 will not allow me to access it to transfer files from the phone to the computer,.

i can do everything else, make changes to my contacts and messages, and all the rest, BUT copying files is the whole reason i brought the DKU-2 cable.

im using Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, they whole problem starts when i go to my computer, i double click on the 6230 filebrowser, then the 6230 icon, but when i goto the
"My Gallery" icon, it flashes up with a box the reads "the operation could not be preformed" i click on ok, and it flashes right back up, the only way to get rid of it at this stage is ctrl+alt+del, bring up the task manager and close it that way,

COULD SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME..............my phone is running slow because of the amount of crap on my phone.

Maybe its some retarded Java issue? Hav eyou reinstalled yor console? If not, or you suspect what I am thinking - head to www.sun.coma and download the XP java pack.

Hmm... I supposed it would be besides the point to get an SD card reader - they usually have issues with anything besides MP3s anyway... But, try the Java. If its not that.. hmmm, isnt there a 6600 patch for XP that was out for the suite? Maybe thats an issue as well with the 6230.

I didn;t know you have to install that java thing for the cable to work.

Hi,

Very simple solution,
go to phone,
navigate to the MMC card setting
and rename it (to anything).

Then do the Gallery step again.
Guarantee to work.

@HAT

Really how can that matter to the PC suite?

You have to re-name your MMC card so that you can transfer files to and from it. That's what my bro did after much tinkering with his 6230. ;)
