I am pretty sure I want the 7610, but i have also been thinking about the SE k700 and the 6230... I just was curious about some things about the 7610...

the 3650 I have been using for a while is kinda slow... like when i push a button to take the screen saver off... it takes a second and sometimes i'll have pushed two or three other buttons by then, and it just does not register them, that annoys me. When my t610 was slow, it would just catch up with all the buttons i pushed. is the 7610 remanisant of that?

This may be a total newbie question, but i dont really understand how it works... so I dont know if its possible... but stereo sound is a hardware thing right? Like I couldn't get an app that would create stereo sound... I need two speakers. Right? lol.

Any other complaints about the 7610? I dont wanna hear about the keypad, i think its cool, and since Micheal agrees and says its functional... its not only not a problem, but even a plus.

As far as I know the stereo thing is hardware dependent. Regarding your phone registering the keys pressed coming out of standby: I only had that problem with my SE T68i; my N6600 and N7610 are quick as ever. My N7610 is the Asian version and I love it except for an odd quirk where whatever app I'm typing in quits after the key combination to spell the word "thatll" using T9 from the dictionary is entered... apparently this is present in the Asian versions and I'll need a flash upgrade to rectify. Also, I'm currently unable to sync my data with my iBook, but that's on Apple's iSync side and not Nokia's. Other than that the phone has worked flawlessly and I love the style, layout, and natural function. I also use a Bluetooth wireless headset (Jabra Freespeak 250) that further takes advantage of how seamless the phone can be in day to day use. Great phone and quite a head-turner as well. I'm in the U.S. and nobody around me has ever even seen the phone beyond pictures.

If you liked 3650, you'll love 7610. I had 3650 as well, and to me 7610 was a 3650 with a much prettier GUI (thanks to themes), a faster and superior camera, a better keypad, and much better looks. That in essence sums up the difference between the two; but if you are a heavy user you'll appreciate the larger amount of RAM (finally we can play Doom on our phones; but ironically i haven't tried yet, despite trying for hours on 3650). Oh and then there are the N-Gage games but.. thats another issue altogether.

And stereo just doesn't work. Plug a stereo handsfree device in and the phone will warn you its not a compatible accessory, of course you could just create a headset which had the same audio channel being sent to both earpieces but that sortof defeats the point. I currently use my 7610 to watch movies and so on, but with only one earpiece. The advantage of this is that I can listen and talk to people at same time.

Well for one it would be in his profile - I'd think he would've replaced the 6600 there.
