Nokia 6600 vs 7610

i was juss wondering wut u ppl think of both fones..it doesnt matter that the fone is newer..i know lotz of ppl are gonna say the 7610 is better since its newer n stuff...but the features are basically the same...so which do u think is better...n give a reason..lol...

Nop, the features are not quite the same. The 7610's polyphonic ring tones can play up to 48 chords (instruments) at the same time which makes it nice and smooth, while the 6600 plays up to 26 chords.

Another thing is the 1 Mega Pixel camera in the 7610 makes the pictures clear and big, while the 6600 have a regular VGA camera.

The 7610, can record video up to 10 mins with 4x digital zoom, while the 6600 records video up to 10 secs with 2x digital zoom.

the 7610 have the creative "movie directer" app, very nice in terms of doing a creative clip of ur many clips u collected and want them in one clip! The 6600 have none of that.

The sound in the 7610 is more clearer and louder that the 6600.

In terms of shape and looks, the 7610 wins, it's lighter than the 6600 and not thick as the 6600 and not wide.

After all that, your saying it's the same as 6600? :)

Looks better (much better shape to look at, and looks stylish) and is also much smaller (nicer to hold). Buttons feel better compared to 6600's small buttons on the side.

Camera is 1mp and the screen really shows off the 1mp photos.

The lack of IR is bearable.

... but in essence, if you don't need a small/stylish s60 phone and you don't need 1mp camera, then just get a 6600; but if size matters and camera quality is important (ie. I can get proper prints from Kodak like normal sized photographs) then get a 7610.

6600 is a much more effiecient phone, there are only a couple of upgrades in the 7610 and so much for the huge price gap. the buttons on the 6600 are a lot easier to use, i've handled both phones, the 7610 needs really accurate pressing. the joystick on the 6600 makes selection much easier, 7610 navigation - crap.
and if u think these options such as zoom and extended recording are worth it, ur wrong, i hae all of these things on my 6600 just with software. i have eti camcorder, which lets u record as much as possible video to ur memory card, i have zoomperfect while lets you zoom up to 900%. most things can be achived by software guys...6600 rules...

1) It's faster
2) It has a megapixel camera
3) It's smaller and lighter
4) It has a much better design than the 6600 (IMO)
5) The screen is better than that of the 6600
6) New version of Series 60

One disadvantage (slight, though) to the 7610:
It uses and RS-MMC

lol..interesting....but for the 6600...its got infrared..n alot of ppl transfer programs throught that..like the infrared device thing at the computer..n transfer to their fone..but then their is USB..hmm.. but 1 megapixel isnt a diff..if u got a digital cam it shudnt really matter........ any other fones u ppl think are good.. can u ppl compare the p900 to the 7610..or completlty diff?? juss write ur opinions....

Nope! Well the 6110 is, and so is the C35i, and the 7650, and the 3100. But The x100a I lend to my mum, and the 3310 I also lend to my mum, and the 2100 is used by my dad, and the 7250 is used by my sis. :D My family relies on me for phones!

If I had a choice between the7610 and the 6630, I'd definately pick the 7610. Style and size are not really for a biggy for me (hence why I have the 7650 and the p900). Um, between the 6630 and the p900, I'd choose the 6630 (only because I already have the p900!), not too sure what I'll do about it if I never had a p900 in the first place.

Um, the 17th July at noonGMT was really random because we couldn't think of any other good date. The gathering is try to get a s much people as possible online.
