Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me out. I've got a Nokia 6600 and yesterday it fell on my hard wood bedroom floor. Now the phone has fallen many times before, twice on a concrete floor (yes I'm clumsy), and it has been perfectly fine afterwards.

But now yesterday when the phone fell, after I picked it up two of the buttons didn't work. The ones on the left and right hand side of the joystick. But the rest of the phone works perfectly, camera and video are still fine, games are still fine, etc. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Now I'm not sure if this is hardware or software related. Cause all of the other buttons work fine. I have tried to switch the phone off and then back on, but it did nothing.

If it is some other software problem, would a HARD RESET work? Is there perhaps some sort of diagnostics program I can download and install on the phone? Some other software to see what the problem is?

If it is the hardware, what will need to be done? Would someone just need to open the case up and perhaps reset some of the rubber buttons? Or would it have to do with circuitry? Would the main board need to be replaced? What other hardware related problem could it be? If the main board needs to be replaced, do you suggest I should just throw away the phone now and not waste my time trying to fix it, and then just get a new phone?

Anyway easy quick fixes would be highly appreciated!!

Regards,

There is no quick fix. Dont mess with it yourself, go to the service center and get it fixed!

Oh yes, I'll definately will take it to a service centre if I can't fix it myself.

I just thought some people might have ideas on the forum, since it is the weekend, I'll only be able to take it in on Monday.
