I know that A100 from panasonic is a terrible phone, but whats worse is its ad's coming on the TV over and over again. I dont mind watching Bipasa she is so easy on the eyes but that phone is just making me irratable. They compare it to a 6600 in the AD. WTF??

I don't know about india but I remember last year when the 6600 was new the ad for that was on and it was so good it was a man going through a metal detector and the mobile goes through a scanner and in a screen you could see camera and notepad and so on....

What here in India the 6600 ad is something like a guy applying for a job and then his employer thinks that someday he would take his place!

Although I do agree with manav that the panasonic people are putting the ad on over and over again, but I beg to differ to the fact that the A100 is bad.
I am having an A100 for the past month, and I can say that it is a 'cute-little thing'.
Well, of course, it does not have a 176x220 pixel 65K TFT color display, 64 chord polyphonics, blah blah blah..... but it is good at what it has. Firstly, it is one of the smallest phones in the world (66g is really light). Secondly, for Rs. 4500 (~$100), it is the best phone 1 can get. It's got polyphonic ringtones, 100 SMS memory, and a 'SPEAKER PHONE' feature! :D
What more could you ask for??

Is a very small phone! but there is nothing great about it! Bipasha Basu (bollywood actress from india) in the ad she sucks!

I read in a magazine that you don't get to see kissing in video's in India, because that is classified as terribly wrong... And that people can't kiss in the streets in india, is this true??

No there is no ban on kissing come on! It is banned in commercials but in Movies etc it can be shown *err* done. And the thing is India's society is a really conservative kind any if you kiss in public you won't get much outta it. So I'd rather you do it in privacy. There is not much problems in metros but in rural areas its highly unreccomended. Where I live its a town but moving to pune soon. (its a mega-metro 70% students) Yippe! Life is going to be more action filled soon!

Oh, getting back to the topic. The phone might not be that bad. But looking at the commercials again and again is making me angry!
