PLEASE HELP ME Copy Files From a 6230

Hey, im new here.

im having real troubles with my 6230!!! the trouble is i can not transfer files from the phone to my PC.

Im using a DKU_2 cable, windows XP, i can do everything else with my phone, like, edit contacts, edit messages, synchronise, backing up my files and all the rest, but actually looking at the photo's, vidoes' and sounds, it wont let me.

im desperate cause my phone's memory is almost full, and i dont wanna delete any of the photo's.

Are you using any type of file explorer on your phone?

Something that lets you browse all the files in your phone.

on my computer i just go straight in to my computer and double click on Nokia 6230 thats noted under removable storage and an error screen pops up and says "the requested operation could not be preformed" i click on OK and it flash straight back up. if that helps you at all, im using Nokia PC Suite aswell

I've got problems with Windows XP and reading files from my 7600 also, it just wont connect using the cable or bluetooth, it connects via IR though. I cant remember if i asked this in another thread or was i thinking about putting up a thread, need to have a look now...

I'm using a 7610 and when I go to the 'transfer files' section of Nokia PC Suite, I go to the Nokia Phone Browser folder in the File Explorer on the computer. From there, I select my 7610, select phone mem./64MB MMC, then I just drag and drop items from my computer to the phone.

I dunno about you guys but I use a DKU-2 USB cable.
