I have to admit, it's a cool app. it could do a better job of identifying inbound and outbound messages, and maybe use color coding to show conversations via SMS, but still a cool idea that I never would have thought of.

It is working perfectly on my computer. Try this: Restart your computer. Restart your phone. Reconnect via USB cable. Set the Primary Device (Tools -> Set Primary Phone). Once done, then you can start Sync-ing
NB: Don't try using or editing the profile in Sync. It won't work! You can access all commands via the PC program

Difference between BETA and FULL - I reckon will be in fixing a few minor bugs and errors. Probably more stable app running.

No idea when its going to be released, but I think it will cost.
I think the Symbian app won't cost
But the PC app will cost to get a serial number or something

I'm going to pay for it. Only thing that will stop me, is a cracker :D

It doesn't do anything to the SMS.

Except ... if you didn't add a SMS as a favourite ... the specific SMS won't be Sync-ed back to the phone.

I've placed a few SMS and photos taken in Favourites ... which will be in my "virtual scrapbook" forever ... :D

Thank god LifeBlog (despite beta) is out. My Ball is next week!

I don't have any software on my PC for life blog. At least not that I am aware of. All I have used is the app on the 7610 itself.

wow this prog is freaking awesome...didnt think much of it but it's a simple concept yet so intuitive. y wasnt it released before!
i love my 7610 even more! the sync between pc and fone is seamless though slow over BT.

My syncs were never slow. Jorgen from Infosync complained of that, too. I never had an issue.

a horror story...first sync, everythin sync properly. when i added a few pic from timeline to faves on the pc and hit sync, only the pic in fave were sync to my fone deleting all other stuff in the fone but everything was there on the pc....

Yea. I know, it does that. That's why they wrote "Favourites - Always On Your Phone" at the bottom of the LifeBlog PC Program.

Still can't believe all my favourite SMS has been wiped clean ...

hmm so i c it's a cleanup kinda thing just put the pic u want there.
think i'll wait for the final release, now my syncs always hangs halfway through if i use usb but not BT

i hope in the new version, it would allow for unlimited space to be allowed for allocation to Favorites and which folders not to sync.

i tot the idea of syncing is to ensure that both PCs and phones are the same.

anyway to prevent ur lovely sms from being sync and not having to add them to faves, just store them in My Other Folders...that doesnt get synced

Anyone know of how to stop the SMSes being sync'd to the PC? I almost lost the number of my friend that I havent recorded on the 7610.

That works? Just place your SMS all into a Folder?

Dang ... never thought of that! *slaps himself*

Lol. I'm not using it anymore. I'm either waiting for the Full Version (hopefully fixes the thing about deleting everything during synchronizing unless added to Favourites) or not using the app at all.

Keeping the SMS in my Inbox is more important than LifeBlog deleting them just to add them to a timeline ...

If I would have gotten my inbox deleted I would have done the same thing!

Nokia screwed up again.

Why make it, so that LifeBlog when synchronizing with the PC ... deletes everything on your phone? You add the ones you want to keep into Favourites, then it "replaces" it back again.

I wanted to keep all my SMS and having a few in the LifeBlog Timeline. Guess what LifeBlog did ... deleted all the ones that I didn't place into Favourites.

Nokia screwed up. LifeBlog's GUI is great, but the process which it synchronizes is crap.

What I think Nokia should have done is:

LifeBlog doesn't touch the Inbox or Gallery, but gets the pictures, SMS, MMS and videos from there. Locates them to E:/system/LifeBlog/database or something, then the Favourites are placed there. No need deleting all those precious SMS ...

Nokia ... you better be reading this ...

You can test if if you want - but at your own risk.
Be sure to backup your phone before playing around with LifeBlog. Especially when its the Beta version ...

Well having it on the phone without syncing to ur pc is good enuff since it provides a highly intuitive way to view all ur videos, sms, mms and images in a convenient day-by-day manner.

syncing it to ur PC is a horror since Nokia probably didnt understand the term sync.... it always means having two identical sets of data in the pc and ofne...the way ipod syncs....

there shd be an option for users to specify whether they wan stuff on the phone to be deleted after syncing...or to exclude what folders not to sync or sync, mebbe it's in the full version since they gave ADVANCE warning that some data might be lost due to the beta features. and even the default video templates get synced...

worst still, i gotta do a Search to locate the folder where Lifeblog stores the stuff from the phone...in my documents/lifeblogdata... there shd be a facility to choose ur own storage folder

in any case, if you already do manual routine backup of pix and video off ur fone to your PC, u wun need the PC software for syncing....

just install the phone software to easily manage or view multimedia...
