anyone own one of these...?

need some feedback on it;
in particular battery life, response of buttons, and general practicality of the phone in everyday use.

don't want websites stats here, i'm looking for actual users of the phone only. not looking for comparisons to high-end camera phones. i know its features, just would like to know if it's any good in actual everyday use.

thanks for your time...

Well I had one for 3 weeks, so I'm not sure if I qualify, but I'll try anyway.

Battery life is about average - I got about 2 days of heavy usage (2 hours of calling, playing games, etc).

The buttons are tiny, and at first I had some issues with them. After a couple of days though, I could use it just fine. The only real niggle I have with the buttons is that the small Up/Down scrolling buttons are a little small, and you can easily press the wrong one by mistake.

General practicality - nothing really different to other phones. The 8910i is SOLID. One of the sturdiest phones I have ever used. The sliding mechanism works great, and I had no issues with it on my demo model.

Oh yeah - this is about the only phone I have ever had that really attracts the chicks... ;)

If you can get one for a decent price, go for it.

Roo-
okay, what about the next best thing. in your research did you find any good retailers, with a good price on the 8910i?

well, i didn't go that indepth with researching prices on this mobile, but over here in the UK it's still very highly priced. £280 with contract, £500 handset only. i don't know of any cheap e-retailers- i just haven't looked. I never would have considered buying this phone for that price until opportunity came a'knocking.
I'm also looking at the seimens sl55 as my potential weekend phone. the nok may be bigger, but it just oozes class.

sorry amigo, i'm afraid i can't help you. if i come across anything on my travels i'll let you know.

Which is kinda silly, considering they are supposed to be the "ultimate" phones...

This is very strange. I just watched a "Bad boys-2" movie on DVD.
It is obvious, that phone Will Smith hangs around with, is Nokia 8910i. May be there is a version for US?
