Hello,
I'm not sure if I read correctly but didn't it say somewhere in the 7610 review that in the phonebook/contacts app the names appeared First name/Last name? On my 7610 I can't find the setting and its really annoying.. and also like I said before, in the SMS's it has no space between surname and first name (and is displayed surnamefirstname).
if you know the setting, please tell me.
jeff.

Mine has always shown them that way. I never saw a way to change it.

I have a theory, because of Chinese naming conventions where family name comes before first name, maybe thats why... nb: i have chinese model phone.

In the Contacts, can you list all the names in alphabetical order by First Name? (I don't want it organized by Last Name)

I have the Australian version of the 7610 now (sold the Asian)
Onyx now

In the Aussie one:

1. In Contacts, you can list your contacts in alphabetical order by First as well as Last name. In the Chinese edition, you can't because of the tradition to call people by Last Name first
2. In the SMS received, the Sender's name has a space between first and last name eg "Wu William" not "WuWilliam". Another Chinese tradition?
3. In the SMS received, the Sender's name always has the Last Name first eg "Jackson Michael". How do I change it to first name first?
4. No Asian strokes on my keypad. THANK GOD!
5. SettingWizard on my phone can actually configure GPRS and MMS based on my Aussie carrier
6. Aussie 7610 doesn't have the app "Print@Kodak". Doesn't worry me at all ... :D

That's the Aussie 7610 that I have. No LifeBlog unfortunately ...

Well it could be considered a tradition in that there is no space normally when writing Chinese words as one word is typically one character.

As for Print at Kodak, I've never used it but since I'm a regular holidayer to Asia it may come in handy. I printed at Kodak the other day via Bluetooth.

Screw Kodak. FujiFilm gave me two coupons in my Aussie 7610 package:

"Use your Nokia 7610 to 'Get the Picture' and receive 10 quality photo prints per month absolutely FREE!"

"Free $50 to spent on your digital photos. Simply go to www.fujicolor.com.au to place a photo order and the first $50 is free just by using your personal PIN number"

Awesome ... I'm going to start some photo shootouts of my girls ...
