Nokia 7200 Review

Sid takes Nokia's cloth covered clamshell handset for a spin. The 7200 is Nokia's first clamshell effort, and it is nice to see that they offering something that stands out from the sea of plain silver models that dominate the market today.

Well, as expected. Good, decent work by Nokia but no more. The only thing that's "outstanding" is the design, and I guess that's the point. (Personally I think it's nothing special, neither good-looking nor ugly)

Nokia never go to certain lenghts to make their series 40 section special or unique except for the looks!

Nice review sid, Good some one other then me liked it too. And I would have liked you to review the grey one you would have liked it better!

I think that it would've bein better if a chick reviewed the phone; although I guess she (stereotypically) wouldn't notice any of the bad aspects of the handset and focus entirely on looks.

The only prob i find with the 7200 is it looks so out of place on the nokia stand (kinda too bulky), but the features are good if you're an average user.

Whoa...When I first saw it I was like "...it's so...small!". I guess it seemed to be since I'm always around a p900 / 7650 :D.

Well it depends, if you dont feel size is a matter if you are getting more features. And ditto for the other way round. There can never be a perfect phone.

Well, I didn't think the 7200 looked great. The cloth covers felt nice, and the phone itself was nice, but I prefer the look of the V600 any day.

I had approached my girlfriend to review the phone but she politely declined. :)

well, at least the newer Series 40 phones have a grid display for their icons...
still, i'd rather have the Nokia 6260. even Nokia's marketing manager admitted the 7200 is rather, umm, female in orientation :p

I guess at the end of the day its not that bad considering it nokia's first attemp at a clamshell. Hopefully their new line of clamshells will be a lot better and not as bulky (although the 6260 looks pretty big.

Had 7200 before ,less then 3 months opening mechanism came lose. Thats why i hate clamshell phones.

well, the 6260 IS rather big, but it fits well in my hand. feels more comfortable than the 7200, which actually takes a little juggling to keep steady since it's rather smaller...
