Hey guys,
I have a 7610 and have noticed that in this phone, all the midi files are 'protected' and whenever I try to send via BT to another phone or computer; it pops up the message:
"Protected items cannot be sent. Send unprotected?"
(Yes/No)
Upon pressinG "Yes" it says "Unable to send Copy protected Item"
(No = cancel)
... Any ideas? I'm referring to midi files which I've copied to the phone via Phone Explorer, downloaded off other people via Bluetooth (by selecting SAVE when playing the midi file) and also the ones done by Nokia Ringtone/Sound convertor (I forget the name exactly).

download a file manager for the phone - one you actually install on the handset not your pc - and it will let you send literally anything on the phone via bluetooth

I was using FExplorer when this "cannot-send-protected-stuff" problem occured ...
And SeleQ isn't compatible with 7610 or something, so I hear from my mate who owns a 7610 too :p

i can copy stuff between phone and PC using the Nokia PC Suite, but i cannot bluetooth send files (even those which AREN'T copy protected) in my sound files folder.. i tried moving them and altering properties, but regardless it won't let me send them.. via FExplorer -or- Galery.

this is taken off the fexplorer website; (note it works on midi too)
* 'send command' fails new firmware :
with some new firmware, some users have reported that the 'send command' (thru bluetooth, IR, ...) fails; it's due to a 'copyrigth protection' introduced in the new OS (!!!!), this happens only with some kind of files (eg: .SIS), in such case, simply rename the file (eg: wtih .SIS_ ) before trying to send them.

Anyone knows how to extract the default wallpaper of a theme using FExplorer? Thanks.

You can't through FExplorer.
You need to use bmconv.exe through DOS, and extract the Bitmaps from a MBM file.
Get the MBM file from within the theme using UnMakeSIS.
Trust me ... it isn't worth the effort
(I've tried it before)
And if you want to rebuild the theme again, use MakeSIS

Do you mean that floral pink picture which looks really nice?

Actually no. I was extracting the wallpaper from the 7610 White theme (from www.mangothemes.com)
Downloaded the picture of Vanessa 7610, cropped it ... and duplicated the wallpaper.
So I can now fuse the N7610 and N7610V theme now
