Right, had my Nokia 7600 like 4 months, wen tto turn it on this morning, and the backlight game on, but I could not see any of the display, the functions of the phone worked though, i.e. I could ring my girlfriend because she was my last dialled number.

I tried switching it on and off numerous times, taking the battery out etc. etc. NOTHING, so I thought.. **** need a new phone, I hear the battery low sound and put the charger in (as you do, fogetting it was broken). I usually switch off my phone when charging, so when i turned it back on, it was fine.. Display as usual...

The only **** is, everytime I turn it on, I need the charger in for the display to show..

I haven't sent off for the warranty yet (oops :D) so ****, what can I do.. Will I need a new phone? because it sounds/looks like the hardware is failing.

Would it be good to send the warranty off, if I did this, would I be able to claim on the warranty? how long will I have to wait before my warranty is cleared and "working"?

Thanks for any help.

All phones come with a standard 12 month warrenty the second you leave the store, you dont need to apply for it or send anything off. Just take it back to where you bought it from and they should be able to have it sent off for repair under the manufacturers warrenty (if their a reputable store, not a back-alley type store etc).
