i'm not sure why but touch interfaces aggrivate me.. the having to hold an uncomfortable stylus/pen for hours, the handwriting recognition, the dirty scratched screens.. ugh.. i prefer keyboards and keypads ANYDAY.

isnt that rumor of the p1000 just the p910? apart from the lack of the nasty silver stripe thing!

Smartphones/PDA's are horrible to use without a touchscreen!

And being that the p900 range is more PDA than phone (but not as far as the XDA has gone, thank god) it needs it!

Agreed, I prefer keypads to touchpads too.
You can use them with one hand and so forth.

I owned a Blackberry for a short time and it had a QWERTY keypad - it was hard to use and you really needed tiny fingers to use it properly - it seems like the P1000 has an even smaller QWERTY keypad - I think better HMI research was needed.

You've seen pics of the 'P1000'? Whoa. Um, or are you thinking about the P910? :S Yeah, the QWERTY keypad on it looks...well difficult to use. Though can't say if it is or not seeing as I havn't used it :)...

I've been trying to buy one of each for a little while and so I'm constantly watching the prices on Ebay. They're falling pretty quickly. Saw one for $475 that had already met its lowest necessary bid.

I've used the P800 for a while and found the input interface to be pretty good. Psyched to try the new stuff.
