View Full Version : Suggestion: mobile phone release dates
Could you have a section on your site which contains upcoming mobile phone release dates?
It would be very useful.

Except it would be horribly inaccurate and a ton of work to maintain.
Release dates are different in every part of the world, and the release dates are not truly known until the phones are actually released.
The manufacturers, in general, release the phones when they are done, not based on some pre-determined date.
Any release date information they give when the phone is announced (such as "Q4 2004') is nothing more than a guess as to what they consider likely.

Rightfully said, if would cause more harm and trouble then good.

And plus, in the snapshots, it usually includes information on a release date.

I always read the snapshots, or reviews, or news, or columns, or whatever...
Pretty pictures are a plus, though :);)

I suppose.
But for another suggestion, I think it would be good if in the reviews, box contents are included, so you know what you get!

Box contents vary from place to place, so its no use.

Or at least what came in the package of the review unit.

That might be possible. :)

Yup, just a little blurb at the beginning or end of the review would be fine. :) In-box accessories include blah blah blah..

Yeah, maybe. I dunno. Like Manav said, it varies all the time, so I don't know what good it actually does to tell someone in the review that a stereo headset, for example, is included, only so that he can buy the phone and find no headset.
If I don't talk much about the accessories, then the buyer will have to ask the seller what is included, and then they'll have accurate information.

I see. Perhaps you could put a small disclaimer saying that packages vary from place to place?

Its not necessary man! People who are going to buy a phone always go out and check the package!

I noticed that Michael wrote what was included in the package in the Sony Ericsson "AKINO" HBH 600 Review. Guess he read this I think?
