SX1 problem (I know this is the Nokia forum but the SX1 runs the same software)

Hi there as u can see i am new to this forum, I just purchased a siemens SX1 2 days ago. The phone is truly kick ass and I like its features more than the 6600, which is the phone i had b4 this one.
However i did face a couple of problems that i desperately need help on.

My first problem is:
*The video recorder... well yesterday I could've sworn I recorded a video that is 1:37 minutes long. and today I can't exceed more than 1 minute of recording ( the memory card I have is 128 MB )
anybody faced this problem b4, if so how did u deal with it.

My second proble is:
*The software that comes with the phone is disappointing, it is REALLLY slow and it freezes alot and also it takes a damn long period of time to upload an MP3 song using infrared, and when I use the cable, most of the times it freezes and the song turns out to be incomplete.

One thing that i dont really care for but MAY solve these probhlems is upgrading the firmware. When I do the *#0000#, thingy, the following information is given to me:

SVN: 05
21112003
Appl SW:12.2_05

Therefore I came to the conclusion that my phone runs a V5 firmware, how can I upgrade this...

Anyways what Am really concerned for is the Video recorde. PLZ HELP:(

hey Thx i tried that I am already a member, but u see i can't read or write arabic efficiently, although I can speak the language fluently, I have difficulties reading and writing the language. Which is the reason why I came to this site, to get english help as my english is pretty good.

One sure way to solve that is to upgrade the software... not sure, but I think that there's a version 7 that's now available? Better to check with the seimens site.

When I had my SX, I didn't really experience that video problem, but then I was using ETI camcorder at the time - it lets you record video for longer times. Maybe you can try to use that? and not use the default video recorder?

The pc suite that came with the phone is a little unstable - sometimes it disconnects. As I sold mine after a couple of weeks - I didn't exactly get a chance to solve this. But a friend of mine "connects" his SX through bluetooth - and it's pretty fast, and I think more stable. Maybe you can try that too?

You posted this thread 3 minutes after the last one in the Siemens forum. How would you know you won't get responses after 3 minutes?

I hope this doesn't happen again...
