the 7610 has been in the states now at least a week or so.

the only problem is that only a select few retailors have them and they are MAJORLY rapping people up the you-know-what so its better to just wait it out a couple weeks until more and more shipments start coming in.

I mean come on, $700+ for a cell phone? sweet Jesus.......

$700usd is a bit outrageous i agree; but if it was $700aud then it'd be quite common?

I bet there would be no chance in hell that the 7610 is released here for 700 AUD, we can hope, but

1. its a nokia, new nokias are always in the 850 mark
2. its a "technically advanced" phone, so they'll mark it up even more
3. its a nokia :D

I personally wish its like the 6600 whne it came out which i got for 830.

I personally wish its like the 6600 whne it came out which i got for 830. With new products, marketers always adopt a skimming price policy, in other words "charge ridiculous amounts of cash for the new product"!

Even if they charged a $1000 AUS Im pretty sure many would still buy it, not as many as if it was 700 bucks but enough to cover the costs and make a profit.
