What's wrong with Panasonic?

I think I read in one of the threads that Panasonic won't last long in the mobile market. What's wrong with Panasonic phones? Is it really that crap?

I've seen the GD55, don't like the user interface but I don't know it's functions that well so I really can't say for all the other models.

Hmm... it seems that not a lot of people are using Panasonic here.

Compare a flip phone of Panasonic and Samsung, which is better?

The Panasonic X66 looks good on picture but haven't seen the actual phone. Is this a good phone?

They aren't exactly putting a lot of effort in to their GSM phones.

I am still hearing Q4 for the device, but you never know.

I'll see if I can get a better indication of progress from their UK PR firm.

Panasonic has said "second half" of 2004, but if it's released in Q4 then it will have a lot more competition.

Actually, I saw a Panasonic ad on tv (Star Sports) and there are about 2-3 new phones... well, it's kinda more of a teaser ad of the phones. Have u seen this tv ad?

Yeah....but they put a lot of effort in 2G or 3G systems in Japan. Their phones are extremely cool but only available in Japan...:(

Hmm... interesting. If the phones that I saw in the Star Sports ads are true, they look damn amazing.

what does everyone think of Panasonic x70 does everyone think that is an ok phone? or not a phone I should even bother looking at. I read michael's review but, but it is the only phone on a 55 dollar a month plan for 2 years. So what does everyone think of that phone?

My friend said that the camera is great but that's about it. Don't know about the other features.

I heard the camera is one of the worst camera's ha ha!! I just wanted it cause i thought the other features were pretty good. Do you know if it has an external digital clock or is it only analog??

camera is great?..since when?..its only a 100 000k pixel camera. not even standard 300k these days... it lks nice but no way its anything worthy of a gd camera phone title. but i will most likely have to choose between s700 and x700 BEFORE U bag on me tat theyre not compareable id like u to know i want a phone that lks gd and runs symbiand has all the functionalities is either a flip or swivel, unfortunately s700 aint a symbian but its got a nice camera.. think the only gd flip/clamsehll or swivel ophone coming out that has everything is the mpx, but hell no im gona be able to afford that... x700 here i come:D..hopefully the price doesnt chase me away...thank god it doesnt have mp camera or im screwed..

Panasonic is good in some aspects but I'd never consider owning one. Like the G50 though. The problem is it has not yet jumped into the bandwagon yet. I remember the last panasonic I had was the GD-75 and I had to sell it for half of its initial rate. The battery was really cool though!

There were some new handsets announced a couple of weeks ago, the X100, X200, X400 and X500 plus an A500. The selling point seems to be that they're thin and look quite good.

Let's see:
X100: 79 grams, 18mm thick. 128x128 pixel display, tri-band, 352x288 pixel camera. Candy bar.
X200: 89 grams, 13mm thick (really thin), 128x128 pixel display, tri-band, VGA camera. Candy bar.
X400: Pretty similar to the Panasonic X60/X66. Small clamshell with a VGA resolution camera.
X500: 91 grams, sliding phone. 128x128 pixel display, tri-band, VGA resolution camera.
A500: 86 grams, 19mm thick clamshell, 128x128 pixel display.

Panasonic seem to be OK at making phones that are compact and look good.. take the A102 for example. But really apart from that, these phones look sad *now*, never mind when they actually hit the streets.

What's the user interface of most Panasonic phones generally like? Siemens or Panasonic? Let's leave out Nokia and SE for awhile ;) 4k or 65k color?

3 phones in 2 weeks ( 3 panasonic x70's) waiting for my fourth panasonic x70 to arrive now ha ha ha!!! don't you just love PANASONIC... If this one doesn't work , ie the charger is excellent, but it won't charge the phone, and it isn't the charger it is the actually inside of the phone not connecting to the phone. I get a motorola if the 4th x70 don't work.... 2 weeks manav, 2 weeks 3 phones...
