Operator logo removal/scale down

Im annoyed with the "YES OPTUS" logo on my phone, i want to scale it down and replace it with a dot or something. Im sure you can do that, just need to know where I can display this dot on my screen and how. Can Oxygen PM do this?

Download this file upload it to one of your folder's on the phone with OPM II now right click on that file & set as operator logo that's it all done :D


Ps make sure you Unzip it before you upload it to the phone.

Bull crap! it displayed a big gibberish square right in the middle of the screen! lol :mad:

And I cant wipe it clean in the sense that it just also stayes as a blank square! Arghh! heh kinda sucks!

Hey bud im not bull****ting you it work's that's how ive done it on my 7250 in the past & i just did it to my brother's 6610 on the weekend just download the file unzip it you will get a file named blank.ota
now just copy that to your graphics folder now right click that file thats in your graphic's folder select set as operator logo & that's it but do not erase that file from your phone that's why you end up with a file missing symbol (yellow square with a ? in it). Ive uploaded it with OPM II & mobimb both work a treat.

Hey dude, i did what you told me and I just have this 1cmx1cm square logo in the middle of my screen :(
I used OPM2 for it and yeah same stuff...


Maybe something to do with different models?
I tried erasing all the writing inside it but it still goes over the wall paper, its not transparent. Damn heh! Doesnt matter dude, Ill think of something. i didnt erase the file... it was just displayed there on the screen.

Yeah i agree, YES OPTUS was annoying me too and hiding my wallpaper, if you have WAP active you can download it from here:

Click on the download blank logo or something like that link and it comes immediately to your phone, its only about 3Kb for the whole process, so even with Optus' rip off wap rates its still reasonable!


If you dont have WAP sign up for it with Optus and YOu'll get 2 months free, but make sure you dont use over $150 worth each month, otherwise you'll end up like me with a big bill!! They never told me this before, then they still want me to pay, i swear i should take them to the ACCC! At least after 85 mins on the phone to them i got my WAP charges down from $150 to $50, the key is to threaten them that you'll leave and then you get credit from them!

(as I posted in another thread about this) Have you tried restoring the phone to factory defaults? I found that this removed the operator logo from my ol' 8310.

In the colour screen nokia phones when you download a operator logo if you dont like it you can always turn it off & it will go back to your standard operator logo it's done by going to menu>>settings>>display settings>>operator logo off

Optus WAP cost me like 7 bucks in last few days,i was not aware that they started charging for it. I rang them and they said they will get me half of 7 bucks back.. i take it when I recharge my phone?

Anyway no more WAP for me unles i really need it.
