Question about SMS and MMS!!

i was just wondering.. why is it that when u get a call on ur cellphone it comes up with the name of the person calling, but when u get an mms or sms it just says "1 Message Recieved" and it doesnt show the person's name???

I think it's useless to have that, because when you say ok to read it, it shows who it came from right there.

na man... it not useless... sometimes when i am waiting for someones reply to my msg, i get all those other msgs from other ppl and everytime i think its that person replying... i mean it would be alot better if it told u -> "1 Message from Sam" or somthing similar..
