last weekend, when i had 2 6230s, i was playing around with bluetooth. I realised that u can "pair up" the 2 6230s over bluetooth... is there anything u can do when they are paired up that u could do when they are not???
also i was thinking.. if anyone tried this... ive got 3 computers at home (not just for me), + two internet connections (one broadband and one 56k).. i was thinking, if i got three usb bluetooth dongle things and connected one to each computer. can i pair them all up and use only one internet connection?? or do i need extra stuff???
thnx

That computer thing would be very interesting.....but I don't htink you would be able to share an internet connection....... Bluetooth can only handle so much data, and i think that taht's less than the data carried by a broadband internet connection

Me too...does your browsing feel like it's been a little slow over the last few days? Or is just the sites I'm visiting?

Do you mean whoosh as in fast, or whoosh! is the name of your provider?

Woosh is actually the name of the ISP. And it is reasonably fast, 256k downstream.

No idea sorry dude. And it looks like it'll be a little while before I can get my own 6230 :( One advantage of that tho, is by the time I go to get mine, the price will have dropped quite a bit :)

The 6230 will always be special!
And it will have less bugs because it'll have a later firmware!

You can share your internet via Bluetooth. It wont be as fast as if you got a WiFi connection... but by the way you describe your ISP it sounds like it should be alright. I am not sure the fastest speeds Bluetooth can support vs. the speeds of your ISP and WiFi however, so just look into taht.
If the bluetooth speeds are faster or just as fast as your ISP, then the only advantage you are getting on Bluetooth is to be able to link to your phones at the same time. And any other Bluetooth device... such as printers, keyboards, mice, etc. There are tons of different things... even a washer dryer now(look at mobileburns reviews for that) A 100% bluetooth network e.g. comps, phones, keyboards, mice, washers, your car, etc would be impressive.

Oh some side notes, Every bluetooth device needs to be in range of another one... so if one comptuer can only connect to one other on you will be fine... it doesn't need to connect to the other one also to create the network. The linking machine will just recognize it and add it onto the whole network. So techinally you could have a strand of devices that are every XX meters... how ever far the range is on bluetooth, which im not sure. I think each device is different.. Check the dongle stats for that info. Aslo a device farthest out on this "strand" might be slower if the device supplying your Internet is on the other end... because each device has to relay the info through the network.
And conneting two 6230's should allow you to play certain JAVA games... Just depends on which games allow multiplayer capablities. I know connecting two T610's allowed users to play the mini golf came that was included w/ the phone. Other than that, and simply exchanging data, i am not sure of anything else you could do.
