I'd tend to agree with Viip's picks.

Tri-band

The Siemens S55, with everything you really need in a business mobile. No fancy screen, just a 256-colour one, but it's got a great filesystem, great organiser, good phonebook, and Bluetooth.

How about something like the O2 XDA II? Its a PDA and phone in one. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the P900.

every business person i talk to has one Yeah, I've noticed that too. I guess it's just such a reliable mobile, easy to use, long battery life? Does the job, no fuss or fart-arsing around with fancy gimmicks, etc.
That's got to be it, because the O2 XDA II, SPV (all editions), Treo 600, etc these are all better featured business phones that the Nokia (full colour screen, MMS, net & email access, file viewers/edit); but they all still use the Nokia.

Interesting.

Anyway, my opinion- the very soon to be released SPV E-200 (http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=497) . Great business phone. Does it all, whilst still retaing the look and feel of a mobile- rather than try to be a PDA with phone capabilities. That's what business-types on the go want.

have to agree with this fella, i work in a phone shop and we have lots of peeps coming in to upgrade after a year and taking another 6310i after having one for a year.

it's probably the phone that our repair guys see the least (for warranty repairs anyway) and out of personal experience it's really reliable too.

so if by business phone you mean good for calls and text, then yeah it's the daddy!!

I use a Nokia 6610 and an Ericsson R520 with T-Mobile. The 6610 is EXCELLENT and gets great reception, etc. What I don't understand is the lack of bluetooth in Nokia phones. They make great phones, none with bluetooth. I don't understand this.
