Hi All,
Just wanna verify some stuffs I've read somewhere.. Is it true that we can flash our firmware on the SE cell phones? I understand that is possible if and only if you have the original SE software which I doubt SE is willing giving out. Unless someone out there has tried it b4... Anyone can give some ideas if this is indeed true? Thanks:confused:

Yes it's true. I flashed my own (eheh) p900. Worked smoothly. :).

cdover,
That's cool, so how did you do it? I mean, where did you manage to acquire the firmware and how did you actually do it??? Is there a particular software in which you flash your phone with?

:D. Not that interesting actually. Got the firmware from the SE website. (http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/P900/frameset.htm). Er, well just connected my phone to the PC and then clicked download from the SE website, and then waiting which what seemed like AGES for the new firmware to be downloaded to my phone. You do need a software, but it already downloads automatically when you download the new firmware. :). Turned my phone on afterwards and everything was in Chinese! So yea, was a bit annoyed and took me a bit to figure out how to change it back to english :D.

CDover,
So U're actually doing it the legal way.. I guess.. I understand that there are some differences when flashing the other models of SE on the T series.. Guess it's slightly different for the P series. Thanks for the info anyway, I'm actually looking at how I can DIY the flashing of a T series SE..
Seems like a few equipment to purchase if I'm really into the DIY stuffs..
