Hi, just got my 6230 and tried to transfer a mp3 file (5.7mb) to the handset mem via bluetooth using PC Suite's Music Manager. The connection drop dead at 90% of the transfer and my handset mem now display 2mb free (before transfer I think it is close to 7mb) but i cannot see the file anywhere.... is there any way i can recover the lost memory?? Tried to delete the "Music Files" directory but it's restricted

any help appreciated, thanks!

Hey, Cqua had the same problem too. Check this out: http://forums.mobileburn.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2599

I believe you're gonna need to get it flashed.

Umm, this is a common problem. Thats why I if possible always try to get a MMC reader to transfer files and never send them to phone memory directly!

thank you for helps guys
actually i have been trying to fix the phone all night last night since this 5mb memory lost is really bothering me....
My last resort before flashing memory is to transfer the exact same song to the phone through Audio Manager again and expecting a "not enough space" error and the progam actually asked "the file already exist, do you want to overwrite?" I gave it a go and at 90% it dropped connection again. But this time, the phone actually cleared the file and gave back all the memory!!!

will ALWAYS use MMC card from now on.....

Still, it's a clever solution to an annoying bug. Have you considered the DKU-2 USB connectivity kit to save you removing the MMC card and also these failed transfers over Bluetooth?

Yeah, bluetooth tends to suck with large transfers
