unless the seller states that you iwll get official documentation on when its arrival will be, as well. you hvae to look at how much the deposit is. if its the price of the phone,,its a scam because how can he know the price of the phone now? and if he says that if the final price is more or less, the price will be deducted or added..then its still a scam. nonethless,,just becauseful of what yo ubuy online. if i were you i would wait till the phone cums out,,then i would buy it...cuz i leave you with one phrase:

"better safe than sorry"

That's good advice and joecartoon22, please don't buy a non-released phone on Ebay at any cost, even from someone with a good rating. You won't get it. It seems people's greed for the latest technology is spurring on thoughtless buys - don't become one of the statistics. If you do decide to try it, don't say no-one warned you. Best thing is to be patient and wait for it to be released - if you want to get something worthwhile for your money.

I would not bid or buy any pre-sale items on ebay AT ALL. Its typicall tto cause creamyness in techies who want to own it forst. and in return you get an inflated price on something that will probably go on sale a month later.

Also, try to read the fine print..... allot of those auctions are *For Information Where You Can Purchase This Item For Very Cheap* Its horsecaca at best.

Only reputable sellers are actually goign to have the item on hand OR AT BEST "having them dropped shipped" from an "off-shore distributor".... if you're lucky. The best thing to do is wait untill its officially released.

Thank you.

I am more referring to hacked accounts where high-rated sellers in fact are scamming people because someone has broken into their account. In fact, this particular phone you won't fit at all I would've thought and so if anyone is selling it, they will just be taking your money and laughing all the way to the bank.

I tried to buy a z1010 3 months ago. What a scam it was. Luckily i saw the scam comming :-)

He said he could sell it to me and ship it same day.
After 4 hours i got a mail from fedex saying. You have a package that needs to be cleared and that when the seller recives the money via western union money transfer they will be able to deliver the package.

Checked the mail properties and called fedex. SCAM!!!!

Z1010 now on ebay might be true but a s700 no way. Its so prototype you wouldnt want it right now. Who is gona update it for you later? Why would they sell on ebay when nokia motorolla sagem etc would give you 50x the money for it...
People who scam on ebay are evil. people who would buy a s700 now on ebay are dumb :-)

But we all agree s700 must be a big hit when it comes. k700i seems sweet allready. Tried one for a fem minutes at a demo. Awsome camera and only 640*480 :-)

eBay policy forbids sale of items you don't have with you physically.

In that case, they should get their finger out and do something about the insane number of people selling 'links to get phones for £20' which is perhaps the most annoying thing on Ebay at the moment.

Yes that is ture.
but as a good ebayer you can see the feedback .. if they have over 100 in feedback and 90% positiveits a good person.

The bizarre thing is that people just bid on the item without properly reading the description, where it states in bold writing that the bidders are buying a link! I've seen those go for $500+

EDIT - threads merged

Hey, if you see the nick of thge seller - "rogatia" - this mean " the man with the horns" - the devil on Bulgarian. So, you can understand that this is some kind of joke or fraud. Take care about it.
