Try deleting some applications/documents/messages/etc... Or move them to a memory card

I tried closing all appz and all my applications and sms are in MMC phone has 2.3MB free!
Lolz
Maybe clear up some messages etc. Or get a new MMC.
Some of these ngage games require like a 'swop file', which i read somewhere and 2.3 MB may just not be enough.

I heard somewhere that you can start your s60 phone with the TELEPHONE (aka Radio) functions OFF so you get much more memory, So you can run the N-gage games. Is it true coz I have never seen it. Or is it just a rumor?

Hey. I remember doing that with my 7650. :) I charged it while it was off. The screen lit up to tell it was charging. I then hit the menu button and I was able to browse through the menu! I didn't open any apps though...

I will try doing that too, but with little hope. Isnt there some program or something so that you can start the phone in offline mode!

I tried doing that, and a menu popped up. I mean there were no icons and all I could not do anything, Its just that It showed a status bar, (where the profile name is useally written) And a green puzzle piece where MENU icon should have come, but I was unable to do anything,
Any more hints/tips?

You can get a "Flight Mode" app for Series 60 handsets..
Use Google... its out there somewhere :)
It turns the radio functions of the handset off thus enabling more memory to be freed up for running apps

thats true...
if you will find an app of flight mode you will be able to close all the "communications" of the phone...it used mostly in flghts because of the forbiddance to turn on cellular phones...
BTW. it comes bulit-in on the P series of SE

Now I am really desperate, that thing did have the said flight mode, So i selected it.
The app told me to remove the sim and boot up the phone. When I did that it said. Please insert sim. And did not let me do anything else.
And when I put the sim back in and started the phone it said. App CLOSED System! Damn it was giving errors!
really bored, MANZ

my suggestion is: backup your internal memory and do a hard reset to the phone

You mean backup everything on the MMC and format the phone memory with the psiloc tools which are not working?

To use offline mode just try system tools from psiloc psiloc (http://www.psiloc.com) but since it is not working OR try the thing with charger.
Here is how to use the charger thing:
Install smartlauncher (program for 7650-3650/60 which use skins like themes for 6600) and run it then select: options->settings->launcher On.
Then plug-in your charger and power-off your phone. When the phone turns-off a battery meter should appears.Press the menu button and wait a few seconds and then press the menu button again. You will enter in The launchers offline menu with about 3.5-4 free RAM (3650/60) instead of 2.3-2.5 with normal mode and you can start apps which need lot of RAM e.g few N-Gage games,e.t.c

Hmm, I have not formatted my phone yet. So will try to do this next. I had not tried that charger menu thing with launcher. Will do that now and will let you know how it went!

Don't format your phone because this stupid program from psiloc does not work.
It happens to most users of the system tools programs.
I managed to get it into work about a month ago but when i formated my phone and i install it again it never seems to work..

Note that internal flash memory (i.e. the space you store stuff in) and RAM are different things and it doesn't matter how much space you have on your MMC or your actual phone's 'C drive' (i.e. as seen in File Explorer type programs). The thing you want is the 'D drive' I believe (not 100% sure). Normally, the RAM part of the phone is transparent and you can't see it. It just happens the 6600 and N-Gage have more RAM than the previous generation of phones (i.e. 7650, 36xx) so they can run this stuff fine. By this, changing the Log settings down to 1-day should give you more space in the RAM as well.

Umm, It was a pain in the ass when I had to reinstall everything. The fact the the n-gage and 6600 have more ram is true coz those games run fine on the 6600. Hey just wondering how did you end up melting the 7600?

It didn't melt, as such, I was just accessing 3G services and then it locked up (some of the software on it froze, not all of it, but RealOne and the media functions did and I didn't notice) so kept on using it, after about 10 minutes it and it's battery became *really* hot and drained a fully charged battery to its last bar. So I took it back the day after, cos it was a crap phone anyway and that sealed it. I'm just looking forward to getting my 6230 now.
