I purchased a new "network unlocked " Ericsson T39m from the web a few months ago. I took the SIM card that was in my T28 World and put it in the T39. The signal strength using the same SIM card in my T28 World always worked fine and I have no complaints. Unfortunately, I am having problems with the T39 signal strength and wanted to seek some advice from the Mobile Burn forum experts. If I'm at home the phone works okay (it's certainly not stellar), but in my car the signal strength jumps all over the place and I can't maintain a call for more than a few seconds. This issue sounds eerily similar to the review Michael Oryl just finished on the new Z600 when comparing it to the reception of the older T610!! Do "network unlocked" phones typically have a signal strength that is somewhat less reliable than a phone that is locked to a network, or is this simply a problem with the T39 that I am unaware of? Would a firmware update help? Should I send it back to SE for service (it's still under the factory warranty)?? Any advice would be appreciated. HELP!!

I had the same problem with the T39. It ain't a problem with all T39's, coz it does have a good overall reception. Just send it back as it's under warranty, and the replacement should work, as it did with mine

Good Luck!!
