Guys carephoneware people told me, they will get K700 in 14 days in UK. Everyone here saying that K700 only got 32MB memory and its very little but guys its not 32, its 14MB according to www.gsmarena.com and I believe them. This is because other manufacturers past said that phone got that amount of memory but later we found out that, its shared memory, some already used. Ok even its free 32MB available, still its useless to have MP3 Player. So little memory, u need to store ur ringtones, picture, video clips, screensavers, games etc. MP3 Player usually cost between £60-£300, they r expensive. So we will be paying MP3 which we cant use it much. Some people here said that, SE included MP3 so you can store MP3 ringtones but you dont need a MP3 Player to do that, Motorola V600 doesnt have MP3 Player but it can play MP3 ringtones. I just dont understand why SE didnt included MMC/SD Memory, Nokia included with 6600 longtime ago. MMC/SD Removoral memory, they are not that expensive. K700 its a great phone but no memory.

14 days! I can get one (or a N6230) then.
I'm not fussed about the MP3 side of things. As long as I can have MP3 ringtones that'll do.
So 14MB because of shared memory, how many video clips, MP3 songs would you be able to store roughly?

About the release date, it's good. I spoke to an SE representative in the UK 2 weeks ago and they said mid to late June for the UK. But earlier is obviously better.
About the internal memory, it has been discussed everywhere many times. The internal memory of the prototype tested by gsmarena may have had only 14 MB either because that's all it had, or because of software conflicts (the K700 prototype was running on Z1010's UI at the time).
The memory is in fact around 41 MB, and should be 32 MB or maybe even a bit more by the time third party software has been installed on it.

This picture clearly shows the amount of memory available, but this was another, more recent prototype, which had no games installed.

Yeah, the memory size has already been confirmed by Bengalboy
at Howards forum who has one preproduction K700 unit with arround of 39 MB of free memory. With preloaded stuff in the
final unit ~ 32 MB.

I emailed a senior sales representative at Carphone Warehouse today, and he told me that they had no news on release dates, or even which network(s) it will be released on.
BUT! I was looking at the websites of the UK Networks, and you'll be pleased (or not) to know that Vodafone has the K700 in the coming soon section of its website, and release is set for June.

Ok I hope its atleast 41MB if its 14MB than no why Im gonna buy it. If it had removal memory than it would hav been a perfect phone. A sales person from carphonewarehouse told me they will get it in 14days hmmmm i guess u shouldnt trust any of them but obviously all or most of the networks already made contract wit SE coz if they gonna release it in next month. If u record good video clip and u wanna save it, just transfer it to your computer. By the way does any1 know how long can u record a video clip on 20MB memory?

Just wait. SE will release a phone exactly the same as the K700, with a memory card slot.

41 and 14 is to similar. i think that people at GSM arena just wrote it in wrong way. It is 41mb, but with software instaled it is about 32mb.

just wondering why SE will pre-sale the K700? k700i is already in the works and getting ready to be released (by 3Q or 4Q 2004?)
is SE selling test units of the K700?

What's going to be included in the K700i? How do you know this is in the pipeline, or just a guess.

Ahhh I see. I was thinking the same as the nokia's, 'i' for improved.
Looking forward to having a go with this K700, I can then decide between that and the n6230 for my new phone.

Wrong. K700 is the general name for the phone. The K700i is for the internation market (I for international), K700c for China (C for China). I haven't heard of the K700a, but I'm guessing that will be for America.
