I am sorry to be such a git aqnd keep posting the same things or whatever, but I REALLY need to know about T630 ringtones and, more specifically if it is possible to set a recorded audio clip as a ringtone. can anybody shed some light on this otherwise pitch black situation?

Sure, if you want a buggy, archaic, COBOL-style UI.

To R,

You can say what you want but the fact remains that NOKIA are at the head of the PECKING ORDER, and for a SONY fiend like me...this is a hard act to digest as the only piece of electronic gadget i use which is not a SONY is my mobile....and that is a NOKIA.
Unfortunately Nokia are light years ahead of the rest of the competition and S-E don't even rate in the scales. Samsung,Motorola,LG,Panasonic rate higher.
Cheers

What scales are these and what makes Nokia ahead?

It's not exactly megapixel cameras or flip technology, is it?

to J,

The scales are sales, numbers sold, customer satisfaction etc......
Even big Sony fans like me have to accept the NOKIA EDGE.

Nokia are only ahead in sales because of the huge amount of crap phones they tumble in casual phone user pockets.

Nokia is proven good. But boring.

SE is very intuitive, have a design sense of their own. And troubles Nokia greatly. SE is neither close to Nokia when comparing sales. But, have u ever heard much about Nokia VS Samsung? those who trouble the best needs only time to tumble the rest.:D oh ya, i'm a Sony fan n scandinavian design freak! Being a new company, SE is really making progress; dats wat i can see. Sincerity in their products.

I accept that Nokia's sales are bigger. Numbers sold are the same as sales, so we'll skip that.

Could you show me the proof that Nokia customers are more satisfied than SE customers? Just to pre-empt you, just because more Nokia customers are happier than more SE customers does not mean anything - we must deal with the percentage of customer base, ie 50% of Nokia's base and so on. While I don't claim that SE customers will neccessarily be more satisfied, I don't think you can claim otherwise either.

Nokia are behind in innovation (their first flip phone is only just coming out), technology (bluetooth, high-res camera phones, colour screens [SE being the first colour screen phone maker]) and frankly appear very soulless.

Yes they sell more units but that doesn't neccessarily make them better. Just ask a Mac user.

Nokia is the master of recycling. Take a phone, remove a menu item, then give a drug addict on withdrawal a paint kit and have him design the case. Bingo! New product line.

There is NO innovation there.

What nokia does have is the same thing Intel has - tons of $$$ for marketing. Their products are not the best by far, but everyone thinks they are.
