Michael,
How come the pictures of you we see on the site always seem to have you looking serious? Can we get a couple of pictures with a big grin on?

You are, after all (in your own words), getting to play with all the new toys, lets have a grin from the Burn guru! :-)

Lets just say I feel kinda foolish grinning for myself.

It usually requires quite a few shots to get one I like since it involves the self timer and less than exact methods of focusing/positioning (I can't see what I am photographing, after all). A serious face I can easily do, and consistently. Smiling for no real reason as I take a photo is much harder.

I'm no Howard, after all.

I guess I'm just going to have to go find myself a live-in girlfriend so I can photograph somebody wearing the headsets.

Funny thing, Sid and I have actually discussed trying to find a manaquin head or something I could use for the headset shots.

Not to mention at least one reader usually writes in to tell him he's cute *ahem*
We could also switch to a Howard Chui style of photos.. see www.howardchui.com to see what I mean :)

You don't look ugly or anything, besides with a mannequin (argh, I hate spelling that word) it's harder to judge the size of things.

Well I'm glad you don't find my face too offensive.

But like I said, part of it is just the process of getting the photo. I took about two dozen before I got one that I could tolerate.

My face would hurt and I would look downright silly if I kept trying to fake a smile.

So where is happy michael?? I dont think hes that bad looking....and yes I know hes married lol Shouldnt worry about looking serious its the ones that smile all the time that people should worry about x serious monkey
