Hey all,

I need some advice. I currently have a SE T630, and am thinking about switching to the Z600 as my primary phone. However, in all the pictures, it looks REALLY thick. So, I checked the stats and it is indeed, pretty thick when folded. Now, I've used the Nokia 6600 in the past and had no problems with it in my pockets, but the Z600 is thicker than the 6600 ... it's even thicker than my old Motorola V60.

So, my question to all you Z600 users ... is it comfortable to keep the phone in your pants pockets? When I'm at work during the day my phone stays in my pocket most of the time; of course when I go out at night, that's where the phone is as well.

Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.

Z600 is a great phone, the cam of the T630 is abit better, but nothing beats the nice design of the Z600. i dont' have one, but i've tested my friends one for about a week.
since you've had a 6600 down your pains (lol) i think you won't have any problems with this one, ok its abit thicker and you'll feel that, but you'll get use to that.
as for party's and going out i don't know.
i use 2 phones a day P800 and T630 but when i go out i switch my P800 with my T610. so i don't know maby you could swicth to your T630 when going out 2.

Well firstly, why do you want to switch from a T630 to a Z600? To the pocket question, when i switched from my slim T610, the difference was quite noticeable, but now that ive had the pone for a while, im perfectly used to it. And even if it does feel a bit thick, ittll be worth all the attention it gets, and the nice sturdy click when it opens/closes.

I've had my Z600 for about 3 weeks now and I normally keep it in my shirt pocket, and I hardly feel it in there. For such a big looking phone, it weighs next to nothing compared to my old 3650, which seems like it weighs a tonne now! You won't be disappointed if you bought the Z600. :D

Thanks for the input, everyone ... I appreciate it and am very much leaning towards getting the Z600.

Box215 - to answer your question as to why I am thinking about switching from the T630 to the Z600, there are actually three reasons. First, there is the form factor. For the better part of the last 5 years, I've only had "flip" phones and am still just not sure if I like the candybar style. Next there is the keypad - the T630's keys are all side-by-side with no spacing. While the keys are indeed raised and not impossible for me to use, I do have larger hands and have found the phone hard to dial with one hand, especially while driving, for example. Finally, there is the issue of volume. The T630 (at least mine ... an unlocked, black T-Mo branded one from the UK) is hard to hear. Not only when I'm having conversations is the earpiece volume too low, but also the ring tone is very quiet. I've read in multiple posts here in the forums that the Z600 is louder in both these areas, which is something that I'm really hoping is true.

So, that's why I'm thinking about switching. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, again!

ME! I just put it i my pocket. the original casing is rubbish, and the reknown manufacturer for PDA, phone casings Krussel has produced an idiot looking rubbish usability casing for P900, wat a dissapointment.

if i get one i'll ware it just like that. my P800 is doing fine without a keypad or a case so why not the P900 :)

IM probably getting a p900, so im interested in this. I have ALWAYS carried my phone in the pocket... the T610 did the best in my pocket, i could easily check and get it out, but hardly noticed it otherwise. how is the p900? do you get used to it in your pocket?

caseyboy - those are pretty good reasons for switching. I can tell you that the earpiece volume is very loud. Sometimes i hold the phone awy form my ear because its almost like a speakerphone! The ringtones are very loud and clear...beats the pants off of my T610. And of course as you can see from any pictures of the keypad, the buttons are large and VERY well spaced.

That's good to know ... the earpiece volume on my T630 is just really lame, for lack of a better word. In the apartment, I have to mute the TV or stereo and if I'm in the car on a freeway going over 55 M.P.H. I can hardly hear who I'm talking to. And not to sound snobby or anything, but I know my $35k car does NOT have that much road noise, you know?!

I think the Z600 might just be the phone for me -- anyone want a black T630 that's less than a week old :)

T630 and Z600 are both the same phone.
