I'm thinkin of buying a 6230 but will only do so if EDGE is available in the UK. Can someone please tell me what networks EDGE is availale on and a little more about it. Any help will be appreciated greatly.:D

I don't know of any uk operator planning to offer EDGE. EDGE is a complimentary technology though, simply put it just offers GPRS faster. Fast enough to support decent video streaming for example.

I am unaware of any EDGE plans for the UK. I think it unlikely that you will see EDGE deployed there at all.

That sucks. I would have thought Vodafone being a massive company and all might have EDGE support.

Just read somewhere that Orange supports EDGE. Thtas a shame because the 6230 is only on O2 and Vodafone.


Also, 3G is just fast data transfer, right? Well is EDGE fast enough to support Video calling?
