Nokia are a big clever company right? Well tell me this - how come they cant put not just fm receivers in their phone but also am,mw,lw,sw???? It pees me off, cant get any good stuff like sport on my rado, just crappy pop radio on the crappy fm frequencies.

It's about cost, FM makes sense because of all the frequencies it offers the widest range and highest quality sound (bar digital FM/DAB). If they put in just AM, it wouldn't go down well and people would say it sounded bad.

On that note, I would like it if Nokia allowed the N-Gage (and others, i.e. 3300) to run without a headset attached because the signal quality is normally good enough and usually all I have to do is plug in the 2.5-to-3.5mm dongle in (without headphone attached) and it gets a signal even though it adds no antenna wiring - it would be less to carry...

Is it possible for me to get any 3rd party software to upgrade my radio or is that a hardware thing? And thats clever using the dongle...
