Nice comparison pics with N-Gage 1. Smaller but a little thicker (might feel better in you hands that way, actually). The word on the forum does seem to be no mp3, radio, or camera. D-Pad 4 way, ticker key for the 5th direction. Screen looks 65k to me.
So, hopefully price will be lower than N-Gage 1 and hopefully sales consequenly higher >> more games.
Still can't figure out what is that symbol on the 0 key (as they put their damn email address on each picture). :) Probably just the space key for texting?

neat pics!!!
basically the ngage 2 is smaller, thicker, no taco, no fm, no mp3, hot-swap game cards (i'm not sure if theres an mmc, if there is it would be quite useless without mp3), 4 way scroll and an extra button(good or bad move from nokia? well... sometimes the middle of the scroll is hard to hit), apparently a hard-to-press green pickup button because its too close to the edge, and a presumably cheaper pricing?

..you use the "use any key to pick up a call" setting.
So, if all our guesses are correct, it boils down to release date and price. Hope the date is soon (q3 at the latest) and the price below $200 (without rebates) . :)

hasnt anyone seen a S60 handset before?? That is the (i) symbol for wap/gprs. hold it down in standby and the phone goes to services. Th n-gage 2 looks good but without mp3 player and radio its quite useless. The mp3s are what i use my phone for most.

No, gangstar's right, just as on my N-Gage (though I never knew what it did) on the zero key there is a 'i' with a circle around it (Samsung internet button style) and a space symbol. Hash key holds the shift button for changing case/T9.
Mainframe AI, what are you talking about MMC not being there? The game cards are MMC and it's not useless, the 3650 and 6600 have them without MP3. But I admit, a mono output and no MP3 is a terrible oversight on Nokia's behalf. Without these things, what good is it exactly? And is it even an N-Gage 2? Seems more like N-Gage 1.5 people keep talking of informally.
Size-wise, it seems to be the same as the 3300, which is a tad fat - I always preferred the bigger form factor of the N-Gage though thinner.
The cursor pad seems to be a good idea, the centre clicker button occasionally goes off when you don't want it to.
I do wonder though if they manage to fix the OS to have 10-step status bars why they can't remove the camera function.
Well anyway, I'm not upgrading for the poor upgrade of normal-talking, hot-swap MMC (I never remove mine anyway, load copies of my games on my big card) and 65K colour screen.

no FM, mp3 - are they trying to F*up part of the reason why people buy the damn thing? The multimedia experirnce?.... or did they run a poll so see what people wanted - weird.

I think they did do a poll...
...then promptly went on to ignore every little detail and bit of information we told them.
Either that or they may have found a split in the polls such that some of us wanted powerful gaming/multimedia phones and another cluster wanted cheap straight-up gaming phones, so they make both (as someone's already said there should be two N-Gage models coming out).

Without music functions, the n-gae 1.5 or whatever will be crap. No point in it whatsoever. I'm sticking with my n-gage until they release a worthy upgrade. 7610 will probably be my next phone but not for a long time:D :D :D

Another theory (no conspiracies though) to waste my time and yours (instead of doing what I am supposed to do - work :) ):
Sounds like they might
1) keep the original in the market for people who want mp3 (useless IMO unless you have 512MB - who has the time to keep changing the few songs you can fit an a smaller card :) ) and radio (useful IMO).
2) And bring out a cheaper N-Gage 1.5 (or whatever) to sell to the masses (at least that would be the idea).
3) And then bring a N-Gage 2 (or whatever) a year later or so to replace the original.
I doubt that both 2 and 3 would come out at the same time.
But that's all just a Monday morning theory. I guess I need a coffee to bring me back to reality...
