Guys I transferred a mp3 to my nokia 6230 but the connection got cut of after a few seconds.
Because I transfered to the phone memory, wich was a misstake.
Now my mp3 folder says 795kb but there is nothing in the folder (Phone memory).

I've tried reseting everything to factory setting. Can any one help me out? Is there some kind of a master reset (hard reset code) for s40 phones ? Please help me out..

(btw. this phone is the best eeeeever :P)

no, there is no hard reset code or something alike,
but I can help you how to delete a unvisable file...
what happens when you connect the phone to pc and look at the explorer (pc suite or Mobimb)? can you see a broken file or something alike in the directory?

I connect via Pc suit and the thing is I cant se anything.
I guess there is some kind of a temp file or something hidden
in the folder. I tried deleting the folder using Nokia Audio Manager
and I got the "are you sure, everything will be deleted blablabla".
And when I press yes I get the following error "Cannot delete folder contains files". (well duh?)
This is pissing me of because aprox. 1,5 mb of my phone memory is lost and I cant do anything to fix it. If you can help me out I would realy appreciate it.

btw. I tried sending the same file to the phone, hoping for it to "erase" the old temp file but that didn't help eather.

when that happens to me with my 6220 or 6820 i just use MobiMB and erase the file.. works everytime..... but im not sure if it will work on the 6230 because:
1) i never had one to try..
2) if it uses dku-2 (like the 3300) then MobMB wont recognise it..

if u havnt tried MobiMB yet, then give it a go.. u never know, it might work..

btw.. how many mbs is the internal mem of the 6230??

I downloaded Mobib last night, and belive me I havent sleppt since then. I just cant get it to work, I get connected then disconnected, connected then disconnected and so all over again.
I've tried opening Com ports and doing lots of stuff.
The thing is I have to be connected whit my original bluetooth software (that came whit the bluetooth usb dongle) first or nothing will work.

When I installed PC Suit I got a serial connection for PC Suit Icon. That way I could be connected whit the usb software and pc suit at the same time. but whit Mobib I get connected to both and that dont seem to work, because the ports get busy.
Its realy hard to explane, so I hope you understand what I mean.
I hope there is some way to fix this or I guess I have to go buy a cable next month (when I get more cash) because bluetooth Is getting a litle complicated for me :P

Thx for replying guys, realy appreciate it.

oh and btw the internal memory is 9.0mb. :)

im not very very good with computers so i wont know how to fix ur problem.. but i can tell u, i had similar problems with my cable when i first downloaded MobiMb.. it took me a couple of hours to get it working, and until now sometimes it doesnt work when the phone is connected..
dont u have any friends who might already have the cable?? at least u wont have to wait...

MobiMB won't support the DKU-2 USB connectivity kit - this is the one supplied with the 7600, 6230, 3300 (much to my brother's annoyance - USB is the only link on this phone) and others (which I can't think of from the top of my head).

I recommend you get the phone firmware flashed, that ought to remove all the internal memory, but saying that there must be a master clear on series 40 phones somewhere...

Just came from a nokia center.

The first reaction they got was:

- Wow, what phone is that? (wtf?)

i asked if he could flash the phone and he told
me that the phone is so new it would take a couple of weeks
before he even got any info on it, or a flahser or whatever
I hate to wait.

is it stored in the magnetic (flash moeory)? can you just let the battery run out.... how baout looking for a puney pinhole under the battery? there has to be a way!!! :) lemme think... think.. think..

Flash memory is definitely not magnetic. It's also known as NVRAM (non-volatile random access memory) which means it can't be erased unless you want to erase it, draining the battery won't do it unfortunately.

I take it you have scoured the phone for an erase-all setting or one to erase the internal memory at least? But that said, I'm sure there is a master reset code - someone will know it, but who is more the problem...

nokia knows it....

cqua, you are in sweden, finland is not so far away, have it shipped back to nokia, they should have the updated flasher....
