I almost got my future 6230 off them, but chickened out at the last minute, due to issues I had in the past with buying stuff overseas then trying to get it fixed when it develops an issue. To their credit they were reasonably prompt at cancelling my order.
Sorry dude I know that doesn't really help you...

Expansys is a reasonable, and very large, company. Their prices can usually be beaten, but they are probably the biggest out there that does what they do.
As to getting stuff fixed, I can't help you there.

I gave them a ring for ordering my 6230 from them on Thursday but changed my mind after talking to them on the phone. He kept going on about me knowing that the phone I was buying was from overseas and not Australian. THat it was my risk. So I told him yeah thats ok what about warranty he said that send it back to them they send it to UK to fix. THen he started again that it before I pay that I know that it is my risk that the phone is from overseas again so I said, Thank you bye bye
I wouldnt have minded it from them but he kept on going on about overseas and my risk so I left it :P

Which is why I'm reluctant to buy anything from overseas. I'd rather pay a bit more and get it here. That way if it dies (or needs repairs), I've got a shop I can take it back to without having to worry about any postage costs or import/export duties, etc.

What they mean is that Nokia warranty their products only in the country of purchase. Sony Ericsson are warrantied everywhere! BTW I have purchased from both mPhone and Expansys and would recommend the former anytime! Quicker, cheaper and for Australia they send Euro spec products. Expansys products could be sourced from anywhere. They sent me a US spec Nokia with a UK ERICSSON adapter plug! Then due to warranty said if a fault arose I would have to send it back to the UK. At that stage they did not have an Aussie site.

Yes. Well. I ordered from mPhone, and yep, their service is good. But because the phone was imported from the UK I was stung almost $100 import duties, on top of the charge for the phone. Ordering from Australia, I wouldn't have the same problems. And with the warranty, I'd need to send it back to the UK as well (more import duties). Not worth the hassle, really. I'd rather just get it locally and avoid all the extra charges.
