Hi all. A few questions.

1)I know that 'three' is 3G in the Uk but what do they use. WCDMA or UMTS??

2) Also, is the Z1010 ever likely to make it it into the UK market?

3) What other types of 3G are there other than WCDMA and UMTS?

4) I've heard that vodafone will release a 3G service but when in the UK? The Z1010 on the mobileburn site is vodafone and they're making video calls.

As usual help is greatly appreciated:D

UMTS (Universal Mobile Telephone System) is a general term for 3G technologies.

WCDMA (wideband code division multiple access) is a technical description of how frequencies are used.

As Kristof says this is what is used by '3'.

Vodafone has started a 3G laptop (plugin card) data only service. No word yet on a phone service.
