I loved the original 8850 although the pull-down keypad cover felt cheap & plasticy (coupled with the pants reception). But it was a very desirable mobile.

The 8910i though is QUALITY. When closed in it's titanium shell casing you feel reassured that it'll withstand even a nuke hit! And that push-release mechanism to open the phone- smmmoooooth.
It even holds it's own in the feature department too. All in a small package.

Looks wise I would have to say the Nokia 8850 was the best looking phone, but now out of the upcoming phones the Motorola V600 is my favourite

I voted for the Motorola V70. I had one of my own, and I still think looks even better than my SL55. Especially when closed, that subtle key-shaped profile was sooo sexy. I loved the MotoGlo keypad, with it's subtle illumination. The finish was gorgeous, too. And the inverted screen, while small, was very clear and easy to read, and complemented the look.

Yeah, the V70 is high on my list, too. I don't like the look of it closed terrribly, but the way it looks as it is opening is what does it for me.

Plus it is fun watching people try to figure out how it opens. I had an early model out of Hong Kong, so nobody in Germany had seen one yet. It was quite entertaining.

Too bad the phone did nothing much else but look good. A shame they never made an updated model with more tech inside.

Well I thought that if I will add a bit of description along with the choices it will look nice .......these phones are my choice beginning from the best


1.Nokia 8850 : widely regarded as the best design nokia has ever produced.the pull down keypad the chromed keys and the magnesium alloy frame made it stand out in the crowd.A classic design from designer Frank Nuaro.....

2. Motorola V70 : That mad swivelling cover,that beautiful keypad sum up the V70...one of the most beautiful yet outrageous design made...not feasible though....

3.sony Z-5 : maybe it was a controversial choice but then it is a six years old model when mobile phones were lik water bottles...
the silver finish,88mm length and that beautiful jog dial made it a pleasure 2 behold

Yeah, I remember when I had my Sony Z5. Not alot of people I knew agreed, but I thought it was a lovely little phone. That was the first time I came in contact with Sony's jog-dial. Took me about 2 months after buying it that I realized it pushes up & down as well as in! (I can't be arsed to read manuals.)

Ah, the memories...

Yeah, lovely phone & it's nice to see Moto's V70 getting some shouts, but I still say 8910i. Pure class.

4. Nokia 8910/8910i) : Well, it seems almost everyone is pressing for this phone....well if you have any doubt then just open the phone once yourself and find your opinion changing.........the slider mechanism is pure manna!!!!!!!!!!!!!


5. Nokia 8250 : Well for most of us,the 8250 was an upgrade to classic 8210 but then it had more to it......the blue "bengster" light forever changed the concept of backlighting....and even today it stands among other clones very well...the x shaped menu buttons looked terrefic while the keypad(that beautiful raised unit) was the best one we have ever had..........

6.Samsung T100 : Ok! Agreed! Samsung makes the best color screen and polyphonics in the world and this was one of the 1st phones to endorse that feeling but it does not find itself here 4 that...man...I am not even asking you to open the flip ...... just have a look at those curves that cover the whole of the phone................smooth,sensuous......just 2 good!!!! probably the best clamshell ever!!!!!!!
