Recently it was announced that the new firmware upgrade will now allow the PS3 to do DTS Master Audio!!!
What does that mean?
If you're using HDMI cable to your receiver for audio to your speakers you're going to hear pure bliss no matter which Blu-Ray you pop in. Previously the PS3 only supported Dolby TrueHD.
The PS3 is one of the cheapest blu-ray players and is constantly being updated to keep up with technology. Plus anyone ever try upgrading regular blu-ray players firmware via USB? Well its a pita.
ps: All the Fox titles usually are the ones with DTS MA and not TrueHD.
