Does anyone know when any of these new Samsungs will be released? I particularly like the P730 even if it is a bit weird. Could do with a flash though.

Well, i'm not EXACTLY sure when it will be released, but seemingly samsung phone take about 6-8months after first announce to release. this happened with the v200 as well as the p400.
personally, i feel the same as you, im oddly attracted at the unique design of the phone. it really looks attractive when it swivels and flips, but when it is closed,,it doesnt' look that attractive anymore.
with that said, i think it owuld be a great phone!

Continuing its leadership in mobile phone innovation, Samsung
Electronics has today unveiled Europe’s first megapixel camera phone, the SGH-P730.
With superior quality for photos and video recording, the SGH-P730’s integrated camera function
offers seven different still-image sizes and a digital zoom feature for close-up images.
A stylish twist-and-flip ‘swing’ design allows users to take photographs when the unit is opened
vertically and also when the LCD is rotated to a horizontal position. For moving images, there are
separate controls for pause, brightness and detailed zooming. Picture quality is enhanced with a
significantly high-resolution QVGA-size (240x320 dot) recording and playback for moving images -
with a maximum continuous recording time of about 100 minutes.
The SGH-P730 incorporates an internal memory of 64MB, which can be increased with the addition
of 16MB~512MB RS MMC( Multi Media Card).
This can also be used for easy transfer of images and data to compatible PCs, printers and other
devices. Recorded images can also be used as LCD wallpaper.
Combining the latest technology in a stylish handset, the metallic silver SGH-P730 measures 45 x
94 x 24.5 mm and weighs 123g. With 64 polyphonic ringtones and a 262,144-color TFD LCD, this
handset from Samsung Electronics is set to lead the way in high-quality digital convergence devices.
“Camera functions are becoming more essential for mobile communications. People take pictures of
themselves, their family, or their friends and send the images to o ne another to share memories.
We will introduce the 2-Mega pixel camera featured mobile phone for the European market by the
end of this year.” said Ki Tae Lee, President of the Telecommunication Business in Samsung
Electronics.
SGH-P730 will be launched in Europe, 3Q of this year.
