hey all
I've got a Nokia 6800 and i'm trying to set it up to be used as a modem for my laptop over the infra red. However im having problems setting it up....
The data suite and the laptop can talk to it fine and all things like that. However in the modem options it says that there are no supported nokia modems found
Is the 6800 capable of being a modem over the infra red? Am i doing something wrong?
Any help would be much appreciated

You need to download the driver, which can be found here: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,6017,00.html

yeah i've got that installed. Just had another look on my phone and noticed the GPRS Modem settings, surely that means that it supports being a modem, however there isnt much to do in that section
Under Connections -> GPRS -> GPRS modem -> add a new access point any name, but then the access point in use should be internet or whatever your carrier uses for internet access. I don't have the 6800 in front of me, so I can't remember exactly what the menus say.

i've tried changing that, however it still fails to find the phone as a modem
At this point, try Nokia. I don't have a 6800 anymore, so its a bit hard to figure out what is happening.
sorry.
