I recently got a new phone (Motorazr), but that is just incidental to my issue. Every time I get a new phone I ask about phones with screens that are easily viewable in bright sunlight. Everyone just shakes their head. My last phone (an LG) had a small monochrome screen on the front which was readable in bright sunlight. However, when I opened the phone to use the interior/main screen I could barely make it out. Much of this is due to the use of color which I personally find useless, but I would not care if only I could buy a phone with a monochrome screen like the ones they used to have. Lacking that, they should at least be able to allow you to configure the color scheme on your phone for optimal viewing in direct sunlight.
Another problem is being able to read the text if you need glasses to read, which I do. Phones should have the capability for displaying large text so that people could read it without glasses. It seems like all phones nowadays are designed for people who are 16 with nothing for people who are 60 (like me).
Thanks for listening to my gripes :).
