Hello, I recently upgraded my N95-1 to the latest firmware 12.0.014. The problem is the Nokia Software upgrader reverted my product code version back to Singapore where I bought the phone. I had previously upgraded my phone after using NSS software to change my product code to Euro1 so I could have the european languages and no stupid camera shutter sound!! Anyway, that worked. This time, Nokia some how saw that I had a Singapore phone and gave me that firmware (maybe I set the product code back after last time I upgraded).
Anyway, I used NSS to change my product code to EURO1, but when I try to reflash the firmware the Nokia Software update simply says I have the latest firmware and will not reflash my phone with the new firmware. Anyone know how to make the Nokia software upgrader to reflash the same firmware? I believe this was an option in the past.
Thanks!!

I think I may have found out why I am having problems...
When I changed the product code back to one of the APAC codes (Singapore is one of them), then NSU asks me if I want to re-flash with 12.0.014. Any other product code just says I have the latest. I think it is because all product codes are still using 12.0.013 and the NSU will not downgrade me.
So, unless anyone has any ideas, it looks like I am stuck with Singapore 12.0.014 until there is a 12.0.014 or higher for one of the other product codes.

I know Sony Ericsson link certain IMEI's with their version of product codes (called CDA's) so that if it's changed and someone tries to do a software update it either won't let it or it will fail. This also happens with debranded handsets.
Nokia may have introduced something similar so that when a handset is made, its IMEI and product code are linked and NSU recognises this. In your case it has changed the code back to the original and updated accordingly.
Please bear in mind that I'm not sure this is the case, it just appears to be.

Yup... NSU wont downgrade you.
Lets all wait for higher firmware versions.

Thanks! Guess I will be waiting for v21. Hopefully it will be out in early 2008...
