rumours on Nokia7600, a funky looking fashion phone

If it is real, Nokia is about to announce a pretty funky looking little phone, which also seems to be in line with other rumours in the sense that it too sports a 65k screen.

Although keyboard design is probably not very user friendly, it should be a little easier to figure out than the 3650's circle.

I have my doubts that it is something they really are going to put out. We've seen a million of those crazy concept phones in the past.

It could be legit, or it could just be shots from an internal Nokia powerpoint presentation selling an idea for a new concept phone to show off at conventions. We have no idea.

Yeah, Nokia announced it today at a design exhibition in London as their 2nd 3G mobile. Runs on Nokia's series 45 platform.

That is one weird looking phone.

The specs state that it has 29MB dynamic memory but there is no mention of MMC support which is weird for a phone with an built in MP3 player. Unless when they say dynamic memory they mean both internal and external combined

Also the release date for this phone is Quarter 4 2003, this would have to be some kind of record for Nokia if they end up releasing it on time

Have to give them credit for at least trying to be innovative as well, and not just playing it safe. I have to say I kinda like the looks, although text messaging must be a bit of a pain.

Personally, I think the 7600 is absolutely gorgeous. The best-looking Nokia we've seen in a long time. Love the leather covers...

I agree... its really the best phone from Nokia in terms of futuristic design. I just wish they'd release a triband version which we could use in the US!!

I've never quite figured out why all of the "good stuff" always comes out in Asia or Europe and we're stuck with either importing a tri-band or suffering for another 1/2 - 1 year waiting for a North American version...

*sigh*. I guess we're a smaller market then what they see in the other parts of the world.

That's typical Nokia. =) They have to be the most innovative designers in the mobile phone market around.

Having said that, this design is just weird. But then, I'm very conservative too. =P
