Need advise V600 or Sony T616??

I've been with Motorola, then Nokia, then back to Motorola for the longest time. I'm with AT&T Wireless in Northern California.

I don't need the extra bells and whistles of a PDA, but I want excellent performance for phone and bluetooth compatibility.

The V600 is intriguing. New phone, supposedly great looking display, bluetooth compatible (love the HS810 designed headset). And it should be coming out really soon. The unit is probably going to be expensive at the outset. And for years I've been used to the clamshell design since my current phone is the V60T.

The Sony Ericsson T616, has pretty solid reviews so far. The HB-35 headset has been getting good reviews as well, although I've heard good things about the HB-60. The unit price is going to be around $199 (since I'm a current subscriber, I won't be able to get a deal on it).

What do you guys think.......consider the new guy on the block or go with the one that everyone seems to have right now.

How about the Motorola V500? It has almost all the same features of the V600 (including Bluetooth), and should be cheaper. We have a preview of it here - http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=418

I bought a T610 from T-Mobile here in Northeastern PA and the RF was horrible. As soon as I put the phone in my pocket, it lost signal. The signal indicator went up and down and up and down as I moved around. From what I hear, they are all like this, except in a metro area where there are towers everywhere. I feel that your best bet is to wait for the Z600.
