All it is is a 3.8V battery.
You could put 2 1.9V batteries back to back.
The problem there would be the sensor.

Another option would be putting two standard batteries back-to-back. The charge sensor there may be ok but then the voltage would be too high so you would need something to half the voltage.

Yet another option is to look at the Nokia battery extenders that plug into the charger port and use AA batteries. The problem here is that they are far too big.
What if one of these could be reassembled with 2 standard batteries, made smaller and stuck to the back?

Seen those 1000mha batteries on ebay? Are they really 1000mha?

You want to make your own batteries?
Non-Nokia batteries have a tendency to explode.

I suggest getting an external battery supply.

Explode is ok, as long as it's a risk but does do 1000mha then I'll go for it
