NOKIA 8800 no network coverage. help please

hi. i just bought a nokia 8800 and i tried two sim cards on it. t mobile and cingular. the sim seems to work fine on the fone. the contacts are there and everything, but when i try to make a call it says no network coverage. and when i try to make an incoming call it goes straight to voicemail. does anyone know what is wrong? please help me out. thank you

Well, the 8800 doesn't support the 850MHz band (the 8801 does), so if Cingular uses only 850MHz in your area, and there is no T-Mobile support, it wouldn't work.
