if u ask me i think it is pretty easy to replace the screen if you are careful enough and not faint hearted. i have changed my faceplate before and so i know it is easy.
i live in the US and i dont know if nokia birmingham is like the one here but usually when stuff like this happens they dont want to touch the device. you could go there and find out how much it will cost you though.
enough rambling, now cnn.cn (http://forums.mobileburn.com/cnn.cn) is where i go to for parts and so far i have not been dissapointed. Click here (http://cnn.cn/shop/nokia-n95-c-24_261.html) to view the N95 parts. now the next process is how to disassemble the device and that can be found here (http://mobilexpert.wordpress.com/2007/07/29/how-to-remove-the-fascia-on-nokia-n95/). it doesnt say how to remove the lcd itself but if you can get the faceplate off, taking out the lcd is just a matter of a few screws and a flex cable.
hope this helps, all the best.

actually, here is a video showing the disassembly process. you may not have to follow the whole process verbatim.

wow a main board for the Nokia N95? that is like the main phone itself. i am not sure where to get that though. you might have to search ebay or the net and hope someone is selling one off.
